Triple Point Fun

Hey there fellow chasers,

Myself (Dryline aka Dima) and fellow UW chaser Chris Rozoff will be snooping around the KS/CO/NE border area tomorrow looking for tornadoes around the triple point. You guys know how it goes with those triple points: guaranteed Hel-to-the-icty (no, not Zak) but also more dynamics which could yield clouds that put a damper on the surface heating. Currently optimistic since upslope flow is present and looks like we can get mid 50's dewpoints all the way to McCook, NE. I will hopefully post again tomorrow.

  1. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that my dream will come true: for once, I get to chase the dryline from the west...

  2. The next handful of days are going to be quite interesting, extended severe weather threat and possible late season snow storms for Midwest. I'll be putting in my two cents later today with a comprehensive post.

  3. Strong Denver Cyclone this morning taking shape northeast of the Palmer Divide and visible on radar. Man, you have to love and respect the "upslope". Stick to the action across northeast CO and northwest Kansas. Looking more and more like storms will fire first in northeast CO and track east/northeast along the leading edge of the upper level impulse just entering southcentral CO (clear on water vapor imagery)and expanding along the dryline. Wish I could have made it out there for today as the dryline monsters are coming out to play. Will be monitoring all afternoon from the wx room if you need support.
